Maria Thaut Diefenbach
Mrs. Maria Thaut Diefenbach served as the Oregon Chapter President in 1976 and 1977.
Maria Marguerite Thaut was born in Hastings, Nebraska in 1909. She is the daughter of Jacob (Dutch) Thaut, born May 23, 1886 in Kolb, Russia and Anna Elizabeth (Alice) Schreiner who was also born in Kolb on November 6, 1886. Jacob arrived in the United States in the summer of 1905 and married Alice in January 1907.

Mrs. Maria Thaut Diefenbach, President of the Oregon Chapter of AHSGR, receives a copy of "Shukar Balan: The White Lamb" from the book's author, Mrs. Mela Meisner Lindsay. An autographed copy was given to each chapter at the 1976 AHSGR International Convention.
