We have openings on our board of directors! The duties involve a 1 to 2 hour monthly board meeting immediately following our chapter program (generally September - May). The main purpose of the board meeting is to plan and organize our chapter programs. Send us an email or talk to us at a program if you are interested in serving the chapter in this way.

Membership Benefits

Membership in the American Historical Society of Germans from Russia provides you with access to vast resources of historical information which will allow you to learn more about your family history.

Membership in AHSGR provides many benefits:
  • Participate in programs where you will learn more about the Germans from Russia. Programs are generally held at theSt. Michael's Lutheran Church at 6700 NE 29th Ave in Portland.

  • Find information about your ancestors and learn about the events that shaped their lives.

  • The Oregon Chapter of AHSGR is a tax-exempt nonprofit organization organized under the Internal Revenue Code 501(c)(3). As such, your dues are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law.
