Lucille Butts
Lucille Jeannette Bartholoma was born in Portland, Oregon on September 10, 1917, the daughter of Natalie Schrieber and Jacob Bartholoma. Natalie was born in Norka, Russia on May 7, 1889 and Jacob Bartholoma was born in Walter, Russia on May 12, 1886. Lucille married Leo Butts on September 11, 1938 in Seaside, Oregon.
Within a few months of the founding of the Oregon Chapter, Lucille became its second President. Lucille served in 1971 and 1972 and again in 1974 and 1975. During Lucille's presidency, the Oregon Chapter hosted the very successful 1973 AHSGR International Convention in Portland. Lucille died on February 28, 1996 in Vancouver, Washington. |
